A specialist in the short-distance freestyle, he grew up in Tezze sul Brenta and was trained by Alessandro Chinellato. In 2021 he moved to Ostia at the court of coach Rossetto, who then became an important figure in his sporting growth. He arrived at the World Championships in Melbourne in 2022 practically as a freshman and returned home with a gold medal that was worth a world record. He did not let it go to his head and in Doha 2024 he confirmed his excellent form by winning silver in the 4x100 freestyle.
